We may still have a few weeks until the 4th of July, but that doesn't mean we can't start planning! The 4th of July is a festive celebration with lots of family fun and community events.  If you are a Sun Valley local or just passing through you will be able to enjoy all sorts of patriotic celebrations and festivities. Here is a list of a few of our favorites.

Start your 4th of July off right at Hailey's Day of the West parade. This free event is happening on Main street in downtown Hailey. The parade begins at noon. Adults and kids will love cheering on the festive floats, live music and covered wagons.

For family fun of all ages head on over to the 4th annual RiverFest at Lions Park and Draper Wood River Preserve in Hailey. Happening after the famous Day of the Old West Parade ends around 1pm and runs until 5pm. This popular event will have vendors with fresh local food, craft vendors, free ice cream from Toni’s Ice Cream, a beer garden, guided nature walks, and live music from the crowd pleasing Celtic American rock band Swagger.

If you love ice skating, you will not want to miss Sun Valley on Ice which opens July 4th and features Olympic Bronze medalists Maia and Alex Shibutani. Tickets are available and can include dinner. When the ice show ends the sky will light up with a spectacular firework show.
